DESCRIPTION

This anthropomorphic vase is made entirely by hand and painted in Mauve and Mud colours. The piece is inspired by ancient Sicilian legends of love and revenge between a Moor and a Maiden. The monochromatic matte colour patterning and the mud rich in natural pigments provide intense colour depth. Only the eyes are glazed so they stand out, emphasising the beauty of the gaze.
