Season Styling
The way to create a home that adds personality, looks luxurious and like an interior decorator has waved their magic wand in your home is to accessorise. Just think of it like you're going out on a hot date, wouldn't you add a pair of your favourite earrings, a couple of bracelets, a few striking rings and a beautiful necklace? Now these pieces may vary based on what season it is. Your summer jewellery might be really colourful with pops of turquoise and red or burnt orange whereas your winter jewellery may be more subtle. This can also apply with home decor.
During the colder months, most of the year in Melbourne I have a light Reindeer Hide draped over a chair in my bedroom and another on my couch in the family room, I also have a light grey Mongolian Sheepskin draped over one of my black dining chairs. There are extra candles burning throughout the house, Skultuna's Black Cashmere is one of my favourites, I also have Skultuna's Dusty Pink Infinity Candleholder in my living room with a candle often burning inside it. Books are a year rounder, I always place stacks of two or three books around the house and often place a vase filled with my favourite flowers, Parrot Tulips on top, the perfect winter flower adding a pop of colour to the surrounding muted tones.
